Information about this exciting field:
The STC Practical Nursing Program is designed to prepare students to write the NCLEX-PN for licensure as practical nurses. The program prepares graduates to give competent nursing care through a selected number of general core and occupational courses providing a variety of techniques and materials. Students will take part in a number of clinical experiences so that theory and practice are integrated under the guidance of the clinical instructor.
Where might I find a job?
Graduates from this program will have a variety of employment opportunities awaiting them. After successfully passing the licensure exam, graduate nurses can work in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and physician offices.
Immediately upon graduation, STC graduates have made between $7.25 and $17 per hour.
Licensure Pass Rates
Graduates of several academic programs are requires to pass a licensure exam to practice in the field of study. Southeastern Technical College maintains one of the highest pass rates of students taking licensure exams in the state of Georgia. The information contained in this section is data on first-time test takers of licensure exams. All STC students who did not pass on the first attempt, passed on the second attempt.
