Commercial Truck Driving
Information about this exciting field:
STC’s Commercial Truck Driving Program provides basic training in the principles and skills of commercial truck operations. In 2012, U.S. commercial trucks moved more than 9.4 billion tons, over two-thirds of the country’s total freight, proving that trucking remains a major force in commerce and a career with plenty of demand. CTD students receive commercial truck driving training on site and on the road in day or night classes over a 7-to-10 week period.
Where might I find a job?
Commercial Truck Driving graduates have worked at DOT Foods, Coastal Transport, Werner, Conway Truckload, and self-employed.
Immediately upon graduation, STC graduates have made between $8.50 and $11.50 per hour.
