STC’s Clinical Laboratory Technology (CLT) Associate Degree Program is an exciting and challenging field with opportunities in clinical (hospital) laboratories, research facilities, commercial and industrial laboratories. The CLT program combines classroom preparation and hospital laboratory experience. Each student will spend three semesters in the classroom/ lab and two semesters in the hospital clinical setting where Medical Technologists oversee the clinical training. Students develop academic, technical, and professional knowledge and skills required to analyze blood and body fluids that aid physicians in diagnosing and monitoring diseases.

Clinical Laboratory Technology graduates can work at commercial/industrial laboratories, medical research facilities, hospitals, and lab services.
Immediately upon graduation, STC graduates have made between $18 and $20 per hour.
Graduates of several academic programs are requires to pass a licensure exam to practice in the field of study. Southeastern Technical College maintains one of the highest pass rates of students taking licensure exams in the state of Georgia. The information contained in this section is data on first-time test takers of licensure exams. All STC students who did not pass on the first attempt, passed on the second attempt.
